Daily five

Every day we do daily five.  One of the parts of Daily Five is Read to a Partner.  All you do is read to a partner to see the fluency that they have.  Fluency is important because smoother you read the more books make sense.  When you read aloud to someone it helps improve your fluency.  You need to do EENN (elbow to elbow, Knee to knee).  Sitting this way helps you focus on your partner and encourages you to talk in a whisper voice.  Every one page then other person reads.  You are reading the same book as your partner.

Math

Today in math, we compared numbers and played a game to learn it. Here's how you play, one person writes on the whiteboard then the other person flips over four cards, the person who is writing on the white board puts the number down and compares them. It reminds us on how to compare numbers.
